Blue Mountain Chapter (BMC) member’s joined with many community members and were successful getting the La Grande City Council to retain funding for vital services like the pool and library! We are very grateful that the Council listened to comments like the BMC position and unanimously voted to recommend keeping those services to the Budget Committee. Now it’s time to express gratitude and encourage them to finalize this recommendation through adoption in the budget.
What can you do?
Write in your own comments, let them know if you are an Oregon Rural Action member, and if you are willing to speak publically about your comment.
Please come on May 9, 10 & 11 at 6pm (if needed)
You can speak or just remind the Budget Committee that we are still supportive of our community. It will be held at the Library’s Community Room. Again, THE FINAL DECISION HAS NOT BEEN MADE.
Help the campaign!
Are you willing to: share the Thank You Card on Facebook, Twitter, email, join us in getting physical signatures from others in the community, create an artistic cover for the card, deliver the card? Please contact Tova email@example.com or 541-709-6403 to help out.
We bring people together to work on issues that they care about! We provide training, resources, and assistance. The local chapter, Blue Mountain Chapter, is membership-driven where members make decisions and are the spokespeople for the organization.
