Oregon Rural Action is working to make the Bohnenkamp building in downtown La Grande a something that will add to the wealth of our community. Oregon Rural Action members are working to make the space a commercial kitchen that would allow entrepreneurs to prepare foods to sell at the Farmers Market or other community events. It could also be a place where local processors can create value added items such as dried cherries. In the future the building could also be used as a workshop where people could teach and learn skills such as woodworking.
We are in the very beginning of this process, so it is a great time get involved.
The next meeting will be Friday July 30th at 4 pm on the main floor of the Bohnenkamp building on the corner of Elm and Adams.
