Liam Densmore is building a deer fence at the La Grande Community Garden for his Eagle Scout Project. It will help keep gardeners produce from being eaten and aid in local youth learning about gardening through our Youth Garden Project.

Liam is looking for volunteers to help with construction of the fence. He'll be at the garden working on the fence starting on Saturday, July 9 from 8am to 3pm and working through Tuesday.

Food and drinks will be provided but volunteers should bring sunscreen, eye protection, and gloves. If volunteers are able to bring cordless screwdrivers, hammers, shovels, and levels that would be much appreciated. Please RSVP.

Also, if you're not able to be there in person, you can help Liam reach his full fundraising goal for the fence. So far he has helped to raise $2047.20 toward the project, but as of July 6th we still need to raise another $156. Contributions can be made at: http://www.causes.com/causes/372271.
