The Eastern Oregon Solar Fair was a great success! Over 80 people came for the workshops, vendor fair, and solar home open houses. Thanks to our event sponsors Union County Alternative Energy Committee, Eastern Oregon University, BearCo Electric, Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative, Blue Mt Solar, Solar Oregon, and Energy Trust of Oregon. Thanks go especially to Solar Oregon for coming out to do the presentations.

If you're interested in being involved in the Eastern Oregon Solar Fair next year or being involved in other local energy issues around the region, consider joining Oregon Rural Action and being active in our Energy Team.

Eastern Oregon Solar Fair
June 4th, 5th, and 6th
The first Eastern Oregon Solar Fair in La Grande is a partnership of Oregon Rural Action, the Union County Renewable Energy Committee, Solar Oregon, Energy Trust of Oregon and our business sponsors. The fair series of events designed for folks in Eastern Oregon to learn more about using solar systems in their homes and businesses through professional workshops, interactions with vendors, and meeting local folks who use solar systems.

Saturday, June 5
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Workshop & Vendor Displays at Eastern Oregon University’s Badgley Hall, 1 University Parkway, La Grande. Details on Vendors and Organizations here.
- 9:00-10:00 Workshop: The Residential Basics of Going Solar for home owners; Badgley Hall's Huber Auditorium
- 10:30-11:30 Roundtable: Q&A with solar professionals
- 12:00 – 4:00 PM Union County Solar Homes Open House

- Free bus departs Eastern Oregon University at 12:15 PM for the solar home open house or take your own transport to the open houses between 12-4pm.

- Free bus departs Max Square in La Grande at 12:30 PM for the solar home open house or take your own transport to the open houses between 1-4pm.
