What: Gather food that would otherwise be wasted from fields, gardens, and trees. Volunteers can keep a portion of the food collected and the rest will be donated to Community Connection of Northeast Oregon.
Where: Inside the Bohnenkamp Building on the corner of Adams and Elm.
When: Saturday September 11th from 10am to 4 pm. Volunteers can arrive any time between 10am and 4pm to receive a gleaning assignment.
All Volunteers are invited to the Oregon Rural Action Local Food Pie Social afterward to enjoy home made pie and learn how to make applesauce. Attendees will also be entered to win home canning supplies.
Anyone attending the Pie Social is encouraged to bring his or her favorite pie.
