If you care about schools and energy, come to our ORA Energy Team meeting on July 28th.
One of the needs identified by ORA members in 2009 was the need for schools to participate in energy efficiency and conservation and possibly install biomass heating systems to lower costs. ORA was granted money through the NW Areas Foundation to work on these issues. Specifically our grant says we will: "Sponsor a series of presentations in rural schools to educate School Boards on energy efficiency, retrofitting and energy generation."
To make these things happen we need to get ready for the upcoming school year. The purpose of the July 28th meeting is to create our strategy on school energy efficiency, conservation, and biomass. This effort will take many interested members and your local connections to accomplish. Call or email ORA for more information.
