The 2012 Annual Gathering will bring people together to for a Key Note on the economics of local food in Eastern Oregon by Ken Meter, updates on sustainable energy work and board member elections. Dinner, music, dancing, a silent auction and ORA's famous live pie auction will follow. Please kindly arrive at 1:30 to check in so we can get started promptly at 2PM!

   KEN METER

One of the most experienced food system analysts in the United States, with 41 years experience in inner city and rural community capacity building, he has performed 79 studies in 30 states. Contracted by Oregon Rural Action, Ken Meter conducted an Economic Assessment of Food Systems Study in Union, Wallowa, Umatilla and Baker Counties. Mr. Meter will present the powerful data found in his study, followed by a Q&A discussion.
