BMC Local Foods Committee Spring Potluck!
Tuesday, May 25th ~ 6-8pm
Members of the Blue Mt Chapter of Oregon Rural Action invite one and all to join us for an evening of
food & music,
conversation & action
on local food and agriculture issues.
The Spring Local Foods Committee Potluck is an opportunity for folks to learn about ORA, what we’re working on and how to get involved in our Local Foods Committee. We will be presenting and prioritizing our local foods and ag projects and campaigns, developing working groups, and building our team. We'll also be having a ball!
The Blue Mt Chapter hopes to interest new folks in becoming active on local foods and ag issues. Any and all are interested in the future of local food and agriculture in the region, state, and nation are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Here's what the BMC is working on (and some links to explain them):
- Farm to School (link)

- Access to local meat and local meat processing (link)
- City livestock ordinance- AKA Chickens in town! (link)
- State and national food and ag policy (link)
Don’t forget to bring a dish to share and bring your plate, fork, and cup to reduce our use of paper and plastic.
