Val's VeggiesBest Practices Val's Veggies employs drip irrigation with spring water. They cultivate over 3 acres of gardens situated on a southern slope to insure good growing conditions early and late in the season. Val's Veggies use no pesticides or chemical fertilizers. They also use crop rotation to build the soil for the next years crops. A wide variety of vegetables Val's is proud to offer 22 different kinds of tomatoes, 52 different kinds of winter squash and pumpkins, and 18 varieties of dry beans just for starters. They also grow lettuce, spinach, beets, broccoli, cabbage, kholarabi, cauliflower, celery, dill, cilantro, several kinds of basil, onions, peppers, green beans, potatoes, carrots, cucumbers, eggplant, okra, and parsley. Community Supported Agriculture We are offering a limited number of CSA boxes again this year.
