Arrowleaf FarmsArrowleaf Farms is located just north of La Grande on an old pig farm. Shawn Steinmetz and Catherine Dickson grow a variety of vegetables, with an emphasis on those maturing in the mid-summer and fall. We grow heirloom tomatoes and eggplant, winter squash, more than 20 types of garlic, and dozens of varieties of peppers. We use organic practices; our tie to the native plants of the area is reflected in our name, taken from arrowleaf balsamroot, which grows in abundance on the wild portion of our property.
