OTEC Board Position 7 Opens; Weishaar Announces Retirement
January 6, 2010
With the announcement that long-time board member and director Stanley Weishaar is stepping down from the Board of Directors to retire, Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative (OTEC) is looking to fill his open seat. OTEC is one of Oregon's largest electric distribution cooperatives and supplies power to over 30,000 members in Baker, Union, Grant, and Harney counties.
In accordance with its by-laws, a subcommittee has been appointed to recommend a replacement for Weishaar’s seat (Position 7). The subcommittee will review potential nominees and make a recommendation to the OTEC Board. If a member is interested in serving as the replacement they should contact a member of the subcommittee of the Board. Position 7 will also be up for election in 2010. Members interested in running for election to this position should contact a member of the nominating committee. This process and committee will be announced the week of January 11th.
