Help Us Bring Road to Solar to Northeastern Oregon

--Deadline Passed-- Oregon Rural Action is teaming up with Solar Oregon to bring renewable energy and energy conservation programs to northeastern Oregon and other parts of the state through the Road to Solar program. But we need your help in securing program funding from Brighter Planet. Vote for the Road to Solar project!

--DEADLINE PASSED--

Oregon Rural Action is working to bring Solar Oregon to La Grande this spring in order to engage rural Eastern Oregon in energy conservation and renewable energy generation. Solar Oregon will be hosting a two day fair and workshop series that will provide locally relevant education about solar energy and conservation. Through its Road to Solar (RTS) program, Solar Oregon wants to help all areas of the state to share the pride and responsibility that goes along with producing solar energy on-site. The first stop in its RTS program will allow Solar Oregon to reach less populated and under serviced areas of Oregon starting with the northeastern counties of Union, Baker and Wallowa, which will allow our communities to participate more fully in empowering, small-scale renewable energy development and conservation.

The Road to Solar program will only be possible in northeastern Oregon with your help. The Brighter Planet Project Fund will fund this project but only if we vote for it. The Road to Solar project is in competition with many other renewable energy projects across the country for grant dollars. We need your votes in order to secure that funding and make sure this powerful opportunity comes to pass.

Please vote before next Friday, January 15th. It will take you only 5 minutes to do your part to bring Road to Solar to Eastern Oregon.
